Born in 1984 in the Netherlands, Claudia started her creative career as a photographer and writer, photographing musicians and writing short pieces of prose & poetry.
In 2011 she began working as a video director and started SINCE productions, a production company that created music videos for artists like Lamb & Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy.
In 2016 she launched her death awareness platform A Course in Dying, with the aim to break the taboo on the subject of death and help people explore their own relationship with mortality. In 2020 she rediscovered her love for video making and started creating video content on youtube, including video cemetery reviews.

She launched a Dutch death awareness platform in 2021, Als de dood, and received the title of “deathfluencer“. Her first book titled Als de dood was be published by Dutch publishing house Ten Have in September 2022, you can order it here.

Claudia lives in Amsterdam together with her cat Balthazar. She is available for cemetery reviews for cemeteries in the Netherlands and abroad, or to write about other death-related topics.
